The right tool for the Job!:
With the Reamp, an age old interface problem of providing correct impedance and level adjustment between all professional audio equipment
to instrument amplifiers is solved.
Alternative signal processing!:
The world of +4 level pro-gear and high impedance guitar amplifiers and stomp boxes can be properly interfaced allowing the flow of
signals to travel from one device to another. Think of the Reamp as a reverse direct box. A guitar player can record a flat direct guitar
track to tape or hard disk and Reamp later into any instrument amplifier. An engineer can use a guitar foot pedal as a piece of outboard
gear via the Reamp. The possibilities are endless, limited only by one's imagination!
Built for audio engineers by an audio engineer!:
The Reamp was originally conceived in 1993 by recording engineer John Cuniberti for recordings with electric guitar god Joe Satriani.
Over the last 14 years there has been over a three thousand Reamps sold. World famous engineers, producers, and artists have used the
Reamp on hundreds of popular recordings.
It's all about the Transformer!:
"The essential component of the Reamp is its custom designed precision wound transformer. After months of testing all the available
off-the-shelf transformers including the Jensen line I was not satisfied with the results. Most of these transformers are designed for
other purposes such as in direct boxes. Because I did not care about the cost of the transformer only the performance, I asked one of the
top transformer manufactures in the U.S. to build me a custom transformer. After some experimenting they produced, in my opinion, the
perfect transformer for Reamping. It is custom wound by hand and housed in a Mu-Metal shell. These precision transformers are very
expensive to build. In fact, they represent half the cost of building a Reamp. Because I'm not a large company with high overhead and
middlemen I can afford to put them in the Reamp. As a result, I can personally guarantee you the very best sounding Reamping device on
the market or your money back." - John Cuniberti
Features:
Refinements of the V.2 Many audio engineering practices and equipment have changed since 1994 when the first Reamp was introduced. This
year we made some refinements to the Reamp that address these changes without compromising our highly successful "less is more" design.
The new Reamp V2, features these improvements:
Redesigned custom-built transformer with MuMetal shielding
Enhanced frequency response
Lower distortion of high-level transients
Improved phase response
Ferrite ultra hi frequency filtering
Allows for longer cable runs
Neutrik combo-jack input for XLR or 1/4" balanced inputs
Precision Trim adjustment designed to mimic guitar output levels
Ground switch
Frequency response 20Hz-20kHz +/- .5dB
Maintenance-free
